Very good pay, benefits, felt like a family, learned more than any other job. Like many American companies used to be.

Cons

After strike future worker pay decreased dramatically, morale declined and work deteriorated..It's now a WallMart world. People there are now making less than there counterparts 30 years ago. (no kidding)

If you are lucky enough to have a team leader that actually cares about its employees, you will attain an appropriate work-life balance.

Store Managers are 'acting' middle managers that focus entirely on the bottom-line.

Pros

I received excellent training and enjoyed working with the people in the stores. Most of the managers I worked with were willing to teach as well as support your suggestions and try new things.

Cons

In the 5 years I had worked there I was never in trouble, I received good reviews and was well spoken of by my peers and managers. Then my foot was crushed by a pallet jack hauling liquor and suddenly within the next 6 months I was written up several times and put on a probationary program. I went to HR with my issues they only made it worse because they were just playing cover your butt hoping to keep from being sued.
