Fun people to work with, consistent procedures for scheduling, good management, numerous opportunities to advance when you work for it.

Cons

Always working holidays and weekends, no overtime (never)

Pros

I received excellent training and enjoyed working with the people in the stores. Most of the managers I worked with were willing to teach as well as support your suggestions and try new things.

Cons

In the 5 years I had worked there I was never in trouble, I received good reviews and was well spoken of by my peers and managers. Then my foot was crushed by a pallet jack hauling liquor and suddenly within the next 6 months I was written up several times and put on a probationary program. I went to HR with my issues they only made it worse because they were just playing cover your butt hoping to keep from being sued.

Pros

Union job, they can't fire you. Great benefits if you can weasel enough hours out of them.

Cons

They pay you as little as possible, keep your hours low so you loose medical benefits, which you still have to pay for. Management treat you like garbage. You have no choice in union membership(CA locations), and have to pay for that as well. Our union rep was worthless.
