Pros
Some really decent and nice people to work with. Employee meal bundle (free chips, drink) with really good sandwiches. You get a little exercise. OK job for students.
Cons
The amount of education / degrees / certifications you have mean nothing - you start as a courtesy clerk and getting "promoted quickly" didn't happen during my stay. The promotion job postings strictly state "courtesy clerks ineligible for food service positions". It is a grocery store, what else are you supposed to do? Spend $500 there (that's, like, a month's pay if you're likely part-time) to receive a $25 gift card. Random days/hours (work until very late one night, only to be scheduled for 6AM or earlier the very next day). Not cool. You work your ass off for a pat on the back. Do the job well, and they pile on - Four different people squawking in your ear to do this or that. Some employees are weird / unfriendly / unhelpful. Middle management can be annoying. Customers can be condescending and annoying.
