      Working there as a Courtesy Clerk is not that great

      Pros

      -Great coworkers and supervisors - I guess good place to start off if you are in high school or first time getting a job.

      Cons

      -Low pay. Start off $8.10 and the max you can get is $8.30 -Expecting too much customer services to the customers -Annoying customers -Not enough hours.

      Getting rid of older, higher paid workers so there is room for younger employees to move up

      Cons

      Vons is an EXTREMELY greedy company. They care NOTHING for their employees and make employees fear going to work. Their idea of "managing" the company is to threaten employees jobs daily. They have no respect and give no reward for employees hard work.

      Pros

      I've only just started working here but so far it's great. Co workers are wonderful to be around. Fast paced work makes shifts go by fast. Fast promotion of hours.

      Cons

      Too many misunderstandings leading to severe consequences. Union dues on a part time paycheck Mandatory joining of the union seems like more of a ploy to get money since they obviously aren't doing much anyway in way of better pay and benefits plan.
