-management/ supervisors talk down to workers lower on the career ladder+make them feel incompetent when really they just weren't clear about what they wanted -it's difficult to move up -you're forced to put in money every pay check to join a union they don't tell you about until after you're given the job -They don't let you do sweeps every 20 minutes like you're supposed to, but if someone slips on something you will be personally blamed -uniforms are unflattering

I never knew what to think of unions until Vons. Let me tell you, "IT WAS HORRIBLE". Unions unfortunately for a company like Vons (not saying they aren't useful in other jobs) keep idiotic people working who deserved to be fired but didn't fall under the specific guidelines for termination that the union requires.
