Cons

-Borderline cruel schedule. 7 days on, 7 days off 12 hour shifts and a rotating sleep schedule. -Management and your direct supervisors do not care about you at all. -Burn out -Overworked

Pros

Competitive pay, big name customers

Cons

24/7 availability, high stress environment, upper management picks favorites immediately that determines your ceiling at the company. Very competitive against your coworkers and teammates. Would not recommend unless you are desperate for a job. Don’t work here unless you are ready to commit all of your free time and buy in to this as part of your lifestyle, which is hard when the C-suite is cold and careless with employees. HR is a joke that gossips to C-Suite.

Pros

I really enjoyed the people I worked with directly. Company gave me an opportunity to grow as an IC as well as learning to manage others. If you’re smart and level up in the company, there’s a point where the work is easy with decent pay. If you work hard you will likely become an equity partner. Salaries are competitive, but outside of shift work/rotation they are essentially paying you for 24/7 availability. Hours can be extremely demanding at times, hybrid work schedule makes it tolerable.

Cons

Company is entirely dependent on Halliburton’s LML frac sand business. CEO has tried to venture outside of this space but has failed on multiple occasions - and admitted it internally. Halliburton has a $1B/yr LML freight spend that Vorto manages but somehow the company is still losing money. Leadership is disconnected and unapproachable. Mass layoffs have occurred under the “AI” guise to replace support staff, leaving teams grossly understaffed and inexperienced. The driver/carrier base under the 5F brand is becoming increasingly restless and frustrated. Overall, it’s a job, but I wouldn’t consider it a career. Ceiling is met fairly quickly unless you want to dedicate your life to smoke and mirrors.
