      Stuck Without Support

      Pros

      Constantly evolving, fast paced, lots of face-to-face customer opportunity and lots of new faces.

      Cons

      Lack of management support (ex: 3x managers rotated in/out for the team in 1 year alone), poor team morale, team events were few and far between and hung out to dry repeatedly on major projects. Lots of disparaging talk about others (see morale comments above). Colleagues and fellow managers repeatedly expressing grave concerns 1-2 levels up. Demands for salaried employees to work 50-60-70+ hr work weeks are common for fear of being fired. Failing to provide support when an entire team stops delivering a required service (leaving no one or 1-2 personnel left to help a particular technology/support tower when there were dozens before).

      Pros

      WFH option as feasible. Good team members. Onsite Health Clinic and Gym in most campuses, free breakfast in some campuses.

      Cons

      Very high pressure working environment. Work life balnce is not great. Upper management tends to be interested in micromanaging each and every project. The pressure trickes down to Mgr and Indv Contributor.

      Senior engineering leadership from the Vice President up to the CTO Toxic environment, high pressure, seems to always be cutting and asking to significantly more with less and less resources Blaming the employees for poor performance when the processes and systems we were forced to work in are are broken and are the number 1 cause of failure
