Pros

Great co-workers. Many projects and work thay needs to be done, so it's never boring. Pay is normal, good bonuses.

Cons

Manangement doesn't care about employees, work/life balance, improving infrastructure or technology, training, employee retention or ethical hiring practices. People are moved into positions because they talked to the right people, while talented, knowledgeable and hardworking employees leave the company. Employees are treated as an expense rather than assets. Over worked and many don't know what their doing because they were thrown into positions with little training. Management cares only about bottom line and doesn't listen to the employees that actually do the work. Archaic business practices with no advancement. All things are "out of the box" with no customization or automation....no vision.

Pros

Financial discipline to the extreme.

Cons

Financial discipline to the extreme. Took away garbage cans and makes cleaning crew come in during the day so they don't have to pay for lights at night. Phone stipends have been taken away and clocks in conference rooms removed due to the expense of batteries. Employees are viewed as dollars in a chair. Very old-school methodologies in management style and technology. Extremely out-dated systems with very little investment in IT. IT budget has been flat for the last 10 years (Seriously!). No training budget for employees. High turnover. No employee retention programs (Christmas party, work events, lunches, training, employee development plans, etc..). Absolutely no communication throughout the company (need to know basis). Very silo'ed structure.

Pros

Too few employees means a lot of overtime

Cons

Since the acquisition of integrys by Wisconsin energy, all the employees hear are new ways to be fired. This is not an employee friendly workplace. All that matters to WEC is $$$.
