Pros

Global fashion company and can grow if good people stay

Cons

Politics, gossip as in school, Some employees spend most of the time on worthless work, while some are working day and night. Unfortunately higher management supports such employees and do not listen to the hard working employees. Favoritism needs to stop. There are few worthless employees who completely spoiled company and team culture still in lead because of the upper management support. Hard working employees leave or let go due to the ego and clashes between upper management.

Pros

WGSN company itself is good. But not all the people and management. Some upper management member's are simply aweful. They use abusive words on hard working sober employees who reports to them. If the employee is smarter than them, they manipulate and try to throw them under the bus. No respect for hard working intelligent employees. If you are hard working intelligent employee, Please do not join this company. Also Respectful CEO doesn't even know who is capable and who is worthless. HR department doesn't listen to the employees. they go by what the upper exec level manager says. If you are a middle manager and an employee, guaranteed, you will be either discouraged or you will be under the BUS.

Cons

There are some employees who are quite and hard working

Pros

- Great brand recognition, every client in fashion, retail and design know who WGSN is and highly respected - London office is WGSN core and at its best, unfortunately NY office is a sales office nothing inspiring or leading - Exposure to parent company Ascential, through annual meetings held in the UK. Many sister brands under umbrella, some brands having awesome culture

Cons

- Dysfunctional sales and account management teams - Managers are incompetent people with no management skills positioned in their seats to bully and micromanage people. You will learn nothing from them, you are better off working in food service you will be mentored more - You can get away with your erratic personality, unprofessionally loud voice in the office if you have a manager who likes you personally - In New York office, you will be greeted with people who think that this is a set for Devil Wears Prada, and believe they are on Anna Wintour inspiration level , but unfortunately it is a spin off and its on TLC and they are just wishy washy overly dressed call center supervisors. It is truly a reality show environment. Thats the quality of people and conversations you will be exposed to. I repeat, this is not like the London office, London office is real WGSN and people there are the nicest & humble you will ever meet! - At best, it will feel like you work for spectrum call center (not looking down, just trying hint this is not different than a center sales job in mechanics), as you are never taught or trained to be a consultative sales person. There is no training. No direction. You are just there to make phone calls. It is a “the louder you speak, the more calls you make,” type of place. - Your territory can define your sales or even what you are able to sell (some people can sell certain products, some cant) - First come first served. If you are joining a team to replace someone left, there is absolutely no way you can generate sales as all spots, opportunities and accounts already been taken by people who have been longer than you are with the company and there will never be a fair opportunity handling by your manager. You will be measured with people who have more opportunities given just because they were there before you. You will eventually be unsuccessful. - Goals are unrealistic. Especially if you are joining new. Forget about commission your first year. Consider yourself lucky if you can progress opportunities with also unjustifiably expensive product portfolio which clients cant afford - There is no HR in practice. It is a circus as management. You are left alone when there is mobbing, or unjust reporting line changes, if you are involuntarily moved between teams. You will be managed out because you ask for help or justice. Surprising how people don't get sued here for harassment or toxic workplace. Right? Because it never gets reported
