Toxic Culture with Terrible Managers

Pros

There are a ton of great people who work there and work extremely hard.

Cons

Almost everything else is a con. Managers have no idea how to lead. Your are either gaslit for giving your opinion or blamed for not doing your job if you try and give upward feedback. They have no problem trying to push you out either. There is crazy favoritism of different teams and it is so obvious that one team is treated way better than all the others. Top leadership has no idea how to run the company and that all rolls down to the employees under them. Part of the mission at WHOOP is high humility and that is such a joke. There is no humility within c-suite leadership. Most have huge egos and think their ideas are the best and have to be done. It is very much what Will says goes, even if that negatively affects people and teams. This is extremely toxic and again trickles down to where so many employees are super entitled. You are set up to fail and then blamed for not doing your job well even though you had no guidance and support. I would not be surprised if a mass exodus happens.

Thank you for sharing your perspective on your experience at WHOOP. We value your willingness to provide feedback, as it helps us understand areas where we can improve. It's encouraging to hear that you recognized many of your colleagues' dedication and hard work during your time with us. Our team is indeed comprised of talented individuals who are committed to our mission. However, it's disheartening to learn that your experience with management and certain aspects of the company culture did not meet your expectations. We are committed to fostering an environment where all employees feel heard, supported, and empowered to share their perspectives. We don’t take the word “toxic” lightly, and in order to address your feedback effectively, we would appreciate an opportunity to speak with you directly. Please contact us at people@whoop.com.
