Pros

Trip to Parkstein, Germany for training Good health insurance, very small retention bonuses a few times a year (which help a bit because everyone here is grossly underpaid) Almost everyone (keyword almost) in the office is extremely friendly and easy to get along with. Free food when customers are in the office 5 work from home days per month

Cons

Brag about how great the company is doing yet everyone is grossly underpaid (will need the support of a spouse/partner/roommate etc. or you will live paycheck to paycheck Not able to save/add to retirement etc. due to low pay Good luck finding anyone to take your complaints/concerns seriously (HR/Management) Strict rule followers (see comment above) No sick days or PTO 12 days vacation (which you will have to use for any time off even if you are sick) Not flexible + at some point might have to work different shifts (1st/2nd) and one Saturday per month Upper management clearly doesn’t take employees seriously and lacks empathy/understanding Strict rule followers Inefficient when it comes to how you are trained/have to do your job Lots of mindless tasks-> job duties don’t leave you with any sense of accomplishment or satisfaction Little to no room for promotions Cultures tend to clash at times specifically German/American cultures High turnover rate (see all comments above)

Pros

Sure, the culture is great…

Cons

There’s a reason why over half the development team (+10 people) have left in such a short time (March 2020 - Jan 2022). Be prepared for BELOW market wages. And empty promises that “the raises are coming”, because they are not.

Pros

The pay is nice for the job you do.

Cons

The management are the worst type of people to even come across. If you dont get in with a click you will not last. The hours are the worst when you are on the nights. They say you will rotate from days to nights, its a lie.

We're sorry to read that you had a negative experience during your time at Aurora. As a rule, management never makes promises about scheduling as there are too many variables that can impact the flexibility we can extend to our colleagues. Importantly at Aurora, we saw a retirement and two people move on to other opportunities within a very short period of time. As we provide 24/7 service to our customer, our operational requirements trump any personal desires for different schedules; indeed, we communicate at hire that schedules are subject to change at any time based upon our customer's needs. Human Resources will commit to working with management to build a stronger sense of team-wide unity and ensuring that employees are assessed and treated based on their performance and not because of social or interpersonal closeness. Best of luck on your next professional adventure.
