MY Manager was great, but because all managers differ, if you have a bad one....you are not going to be there a long time.

Cons

Secretive. Lie to the customers. "Legally" steal money from people. Favoritism. They do not treat everyone the same.

Great salary, great benefits, great people to work with!

Cons

Too many layoffs!!!! No ones job is safe there; which is unfortunate. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: if happen to get hired to work in the corporate office downtown Houston, always keep your eyes open for jobs elsewhere because when the layoffs come... and they have every year for the past 3 or 4, they will be ruthless and many!!! t Spoke with a current employee who said they asked one of the VP's when the last round of layoffs would be. They told them "They will NEVER be done laying off ever year". Always cutting staff to satisfy stock holders. ONce again, if hired, keep looking until you find something stable because, unfortunately Waste Management isn't any longer! : (

Pay and benefits were decent.

Cons

Management had no respect for employees. Very long hours for salary workers with the management attitude of if you don't like it we can replace you. Promotions based on who you knew not on qualifications.
