      Worst outside sales job ever...

      Pros

      good work life balance, mileage reimbursement, company credit card for expenses, cell phone, lap top.

      Cons

      No marketing materials, impossible to close a deal with legal binding contracts and retention by competitors, very I repeat very price driven industry, no value selling at all, huge turn-over with manager and outside sales reps, impossible monthly goals, felt disrepected at regional sales meeting where all they did was bash the OSR's and praise the AM's. Bottom line this job sucks! It's truly a dirty business. One more thing Waste Management is the most expensive waste stream company out there.

      Pros

      Generally a solid salary, decent bonus program, good benefits. You can be proud to say - I work for Waste Management.

      Cons

      Always a threat of layoffs; bonus programs goals can be late in coming; slow moving; Senior management does not listen to ideas from the field.
