Pros

They pay well (when the bonus is paid out) Their corporate vision around environmentalism was interesting (but empty)

Cons

- Leadership changes their strategy on a quarterly basis - Very immature and old-school leaders; out of touch with workforce and industry trends/best practices - The corporate hierarchy is made up of managers who only manage perception upwards and mismanage their teams downwards - Incompetent, jerk executives across organizations were normal - Bad mid- and upper-management was rewarded financially and with more responsibilities (regardless how unhappy top employees were with their leadership) - Quarter after quarter of missed deadlines, broken promises, wasted budget, bad priorities due to upper management ineptitude (not workforce incompetence) - What does this endemic mismanagement lead to? No reward for the workforce -- over a year without merit increases or bonuses! (bonuses had been paid out for the past 10 years until now)

Pros

It payed well good benefits(That's It)

Cons

You are worked hard and expected to do it fast and safe . If you don't you will be fired. To many so called life critical rules, means if you break them you are fired. They use scare tactics to motivate you and make you feel less worth the trash you are collecting. You will have on board camera staring at your every move inside and out of cab so make sure you have that seat belt on or you are out of here. I could go on with more but I wont.

Pros

There are some fantastic, top-notch, second-to-none Americans working hard.....for this scewed-up company. Other than that there are no pros, none, really! I have another job and resigning that's about it.

Cons

My manager is/was totally incompetent. I caught him in multiple lies. The vacation policy is not straightforward - you "borrow" days from them! What a joke! Bonuses are non-existent, if it would ever be given your manager can take away 50% for no reason. No raises were given. They are constantly restructuring, which really means getting rid of people that management doesn't like ie. independent thinkers. I never felt secure because change is constant and on every level it's like musical chairs with a chair being removed way too often. They have like 300 unfilled positions on the careers site but are constantly cutting jobs, especially older workers. I am in upper management, I see my piers hiding their incompetence by promoting "inapproachablility". You won't find many open door policies here in Houston -upper management is fearfully hanging on to their fiefdoms by ANY means necessary. If you can work any where else do it- you will not learn any valuable, transferable skills at WM. The incentives they recruit you with at interview are rarely, if ever realized (ripoff-salesperson car allowance, no bonuses, no raises, have to borrow vacation days, pathetic insurance.) The health insurance is pathetic and expensive, especially for family coverage. They don't cover most medications or will only cover 50% of what YOUR dr prescribes.
