Pros

-Great place to get some experience in banking -Overall, the people within the branches are very kind, genuine people -Health benefits are decent -Set hours/Paid holidays/No weekend hours

Cons

-Very little training - the training provided is 80% through e-learning, 20% hands-on training (this has been true for all of the positions I have been in within the company). -Poor compensation - relies heavily on bonuses as justification for low pay, despite the fact that bonuses are not guaranteed to make up for low wages. -Long-standing policies regarding PTO/Vacation time are outdated and inconvenient for employees.

Pros

Good hours, benefits, co-workers, vacation time.

Cons

Very underpaid for what is expected. It doesn't matter what you do or how many hours you put in unless month end numbers reflect growth you are not mentioned. There is more to running a branch than they know. Pay your front line staff more and they may become more loyal.Serious staff turnover and other banks benefit.

Pros

Some internal staff at corporate were helpful and I appreciated them. Not much else. The pro for me was getting out of that toxic environment.

Cons

CEO only cares about the stock price and the share holders. He doesn't give a flip about the front line staff and paying them a competitive wage. Mc Donalds pays more than wafd pays its tellers. And it shows with lack of customer service and unhappy clients.
