Pros

The work environment at Washington Federal is great. We work together as a team not only in each branch but together as a division. The company invests in the employees. It you want to succeed you only need to put forth the effort and the company will support you. The benefits are great. We have matching in the 401K along with Stock Options. I have thoroughly enjoyed working here. I can honestly say that "I love what I do."

Cons

Don't offer auto loans. Government Regulations

Pros

Free ORCA card, decent benifits

Cons

Compensation is a joke. Offering at least 10k less than other jobs with the same title in Seattle. Management has terrible communication with people below them Profit at any cost mentality Non-technical people are managing technical folks very poorly Unwillingness from upper management to invest in critical infrstructure

I appreciate your perspective. It is a balance trying to compete in Seattle with the likes of Amazon for top talent, while still delivering our cost of capital in a mature industry. I wish you well in your future endeavors.
