      I have worked at WAFD for many years, they are a good company to work for, very friendly staffs

      Pros

      The work environment is nice, clean, indoors, federal holidays we get off, Employees are friendly, no layoffs, insurance benefits are available, 401 K good too.

      Cons

      They ask everyone to wear to many different hats. They continue to dump more and more jobs and responsibilities on you without any additional conpensation. They pay is very low for the industry but if you can live with that and want a job without fear of layoff then this is the place to be.

      Great that they do invest in the community.

      Cons

      Underpaid for the amount of work you do daily. Its not worth working here. They say you can move up in the company, thats a joke.

      Pros

      I like working for a company that values hard work and dedication. The benefits are some of the best in the market. The 401K is a major bonus. The company is very generous in profit sharing. I've made money moves in the past and while the immediate benefit was great, it didn't last (neither did the financial institution). Senior Managment leads by example. Great company to work and grow with.

      Cons

      The bonus compensation should be more closely tied to the profitability of each individual cost center. While the current program aims at keeping every employee working towards the same goal, there should be added incentives for branches/departments that hit more targets (efficiency ratios, etc.).
