Pros

Beyond amazing overall compensation package! Can't beat the low premiums and high coverage! Free preventative, free diagnostic testing (MRIs, x-rays, CT scans). The company has paid the rising premiums costs for the last few years without passing the additional cost onto the employees. Even this year when the premium increased it was very minimal. I have family that pays much higher premiums with coverage not even a fraction of what we get offered! The 401K offered is better than anywhere else as well. Currently with a qualified employee's contribution of only 4% the company contributes 11%. Can't find that anywhere else! Our CEO is amazing and cares about making sure the employees and clients are well taken care of. What other CEO travels to branches and remembers your name after only meeting you once! His vision for Washington Federal is strong and with his guidance Washington Federal will continue being in the top!! Washington Federal gives you the tools and ability to grow within the company. If you put in the effort, so will Washington Federal! If you're looking for a company that you will be retiring from, look for further! Washington Federal is here for the long haul!

Cons

Honestly, I can't think of any cons of working with Washington Federal. I've never worked for a company that cares this much about its employees. I'm very fortunate to love where I work!

Pros

Great co-workers, great customers. Health benefits and a good profit sharing program.

Cons

Looking around, I find fast food jobs that pay better than my position as a teller (CSR). It's impossible to respect Washington Federal when, as an employee, I feel exploited. I refuse to believe they are truly motivated by anything but profit, despite an appearance that tries to suggest otherwise. They are just like big banks and rely on the "nice people" they hire to be so nice that they won't complain or do anything about being disturbingly underpaid.
