Pros

If you stick it out, you can learn a lot and move to a different bank or another company for higher pay. It's a pretty low key work place for Corporate, and with enough drive/initiative, you can make the job work for you. Not very many banks will hire inexperienced tellers, Wafed does.

Cons

The people are usually nice, but everyone is stressed with all the system and management changes. The pay is terrible, and don't expect decent raises. A big draw used to be the bonus plan but they keep changing the criteria.

Pros

The people there are awesome to work with. I had mentor that challenged me to great achievements. These last years were something I will always take with me and smile about. I was also privileged to have some amazing Managers. Long term benefits are nice, ie 401k health, dental.

Cons

Absorbing amount of work load is handed down to one and placing extreme amount of pressure to get job done in rush time. Economic rise in apartments trippling, food, school care and daily needs it made it impossible to live on. Note some areas are less costly but even in the outline areas over 60% of wage was going to just an apartment payment.

Pros

Good footing for starting in the financial or banking industry. Seems to be good advancement if your liked or favored. a larger company with a small company feel.

Cons

Small mindedness through out all branches if your not liked you better get use to being a teller and not moving up. Gossip and cattiness between branches and employees. Lack of cohesive practices between corporate and branches. Oh and don't forget the mediocre pay :)
