Pros
I've been an employee at walgreens for several years, and have worked several areas of the store. the good thing is that they like to cross-train their employees in different departments so you can get a feel of working other positions. the schedule can be very random, or regular depending on how the manager at your store likes to do it--this can be good or bad but there is a regular rotation of weekends off where I work.
Cons
The customers get irate easily and like to try to haggle like this place is a flea market. Don't get stuck as a store team lead, you'll do all the work of an assistant manager while making at least 50% less money. Walgreens is open 365 days a year, and chances are you will be working a few holidays. they almost always promote to management from outside the company. they would rather hire an outsider to be a manager than promote people with experience. it has happened to me and I've seen it lots over the years.
