Pros

Very flexible with scheduling and great benefits. We always seemed to hire friendly workers. Great pay raises the first couple of years of employment.

Cons

In management you hit a ceiling for pay. People that worked there 4 less years than me were making the same as I was. It's not how hard you work it is who you know, you know typical politics. Had a bad district manager that would avoid managers and did not like confrontations.

Pros

Walgreens is everywhere, so can move just about anywhere and still have a job

Cons

Walgreens corporate does not care about it's employees or their families. They preach about being a family oriented company to the public, but on the inside they only care about having to answer to the shareholders. Walgreens is the perfect example of what corporate America is. It's pretty sad when the last family member of the Walgreens founder decides to leave his own company due to the direction the company is going. Walgreens is using the bad economy we're in and taking advantage of it to make changes that effects it's store management salaries and futures and their families, yet every month there's sales increases as a company.
