Overall not a bad experience

Pros

- 401k is one of the best out there - 2 weeks paid vacation for mgrs after one year - Most managers are flexible about the schedule they need you to work

Cons

- This could just be my district, but promotions are not based on merit. They are more based on who sucks up the most - The parity between EXA and store manager bonuses are ridiculous. For example, I will probably get a bonus of around $5,000-$6,000 for the year and my store manager will get $50,000. - Upper management does not communicate direction very well - Upper management also seems to be changing things just to satisfy the shareholders instead of looking at the people that it is going to affect the most. I have heard that they are trying to cut EXA and store manager bonuses which will just allow themselves to receive larger bonuses.

Pros

The company has a good grasp of pharmacy and has some good systems back there. The pay is good for the work of the manager. It is a growing sector of health care and should see growth for some time

Cons

Upper management is out of touch with the stores and cuts in staff has lead to increased workload. They are not interested in the stress level for the stores. the health plans have been cut. Poor ordering models on promotional merchandise. Upper management can get buried in trivia or even worse are surprised by statistics that are so obvious. Computer systems are breaking down to to lack of payroll. Support for the stores is missing due to budget cuts.
