Walgreens sucks

Pros

You may happen to get good coworkers/managers, flexible hours, employee discount.

Cons

Forced to do the jobs of 20 people as one cashier, forced to do extra work like harassing people about credit cards and not getting compensated for it, have to work with lots of old people who tend to be very disrespectful and rude, etc.

Pros

The company pays comparably with other chains and has larger bonuses for busier stores

Cons

They continually cut tech hours and pile on the work. My raise was poor and I received 1/4 of my projected bonus even though I met all my metrics because the company as a whole lost money. My expected bonus as a manager was the same as when I was a staff pharmacist at a different company and didn't meet the metrics. The store manager was constantly undermining me and the District Manager loved to micro-manage even though she had no clue how a pharmacy worked, and she placed emphasis on the wrong things.
