Pros

The work shift was convenient. The pay was adequate at the distribution center I worked at. The managers aren't breaking a sweat at all.

Cons

There is no air conditioning on the "dry side". The pace was a running pace in order to make quotas. There was a lot of sweating (soaked shirts and trousers). It may take 7 to 10 years to advance into management because there is little turn-over in management. There is a lot of turn-over with the regular hourlies, though. Unfortunately, this is one of the areas that Wal-Mart tries to save money so they can pass the savings onto the customer. Each employee is squeezed.

Pros

Some good, decent people work for the company. You can get noticed with the right boss.

Cons

Some people are in positions they're not qualified to be in. Without the right boss you can be easily overlooked.
