Pros

The pay was comparable to the local job market. If you can get on full time its not too bad.

Cons

I did not get much help from my assistant manager. He seemed to ignore me over other department managers. The mostly hire just part time. Nearly impossible to get full time. Took me 4 years. They have a philosophy of doing more with less.

Pros

Higher wage than other chain stores. Overtime is 1.5x which is also good. Good place for students to start working.

Cons

Large company means that workers often just become a number. Chances of promotion are low and pay raise is also low.

Pros

Your career is what you make out of it. If you want to be successful you will move up. I enjoy the fact that results matter and not a game of favorites.

Cons

Recognition is lacking and there is always a look towards the downside of any achievement. I think by working towards recognizing more positive behavior the negative view of the company can change.
