Pros

Name recognition of Wal-mart is a great benefit for your personal career. Other opportunities should arise from your experience in Bentonville. Discount card is useful.

Cons

Rude operations staff, mediocre pay, and bare minimum work environment resources

Pros

You work with the public... They are very flexible with your work hours as they expect you to be also... It's a family atmosphere with the other associates...

Cons

The only con that I have with working at Wal mart is they don't offer very many full time positions which keeps the medical and dental benefits out of reach for most.

Pros

Still growing company, hiring employee of any age and with different background and diversity. Established working procedures and rules, easy to learn and adapt. providing job safety in this bad job market.

Cons

Low wages, long working hours 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. No flexibility to adjust your working schedule to your other jobs, family events, health problems. Products you sell is mostly imported from China, eliminating local producers.
