Pros

Some very interesting and really cool technology, with applications in lots of interesting and cool industries. Management is a bit scattered, but with good vision and intentions. Employees are treated with respect, and pay and benefits are good. Lots of opportunity to learn and grow in your chosen field. Good people working in a true team environment. Lots of customer interest and good prospects for future growth and success.

Cons

Moving from a pure R&D model to an engineering/development/production model is always tough - it can be a bit chaotic.

Great company but unrealistic expectations

Pros

Most people want to do a good job. The technology is exciting. There is a lot of potential. Some of the more senior staff have a lot to offer and are extremely smart.

Cons

The CEO is a workaholic that only seems to favor people like him. He clearly has his favorites and you have to be part of the ‘in’ crowd to succeed. Expectations are unbelievable and it is impossible to succeed. There is no engineering management or real process: quality suffers. Anyone who tries to point out the issues is labeled as a troublemaker. Sometimes bad remarks are made about people who aren’t in the room and everyone is expected to laugh.
