      Pros

      The drivers are a great group of people.

      Cons

      The management is terrible. They do not offer a consistent training program and change the rules constantly, they do not write policies and then hold you accountable for making the best decision when challenged, they encourage "gray areas" by example, they discriminate, they flat out lie, they say things over and over to make them seem real or true, they bend circumstances to their advantage, they will step on you to save themselves.

      Pros

      I started at WC at the beginning of COVID. I'd read all about their commitment to employees during the hiring process but got to see it firsthand immediately. When everything was uncertain and layoffs were everywhere, Waste Connections gave bonuses to frontline employees taking care of their communities. There's an amazing work life balance and true commitment to their founding values.

      Cons

      Lots of room for advancement, just have to be open to relocation anywhere in the country

      Be prepared to not get paid. Payroll is a mess

      Pros

      Parties, relaxed environment. I can’t think of anything else. Upper management is doing a great job but they are crying blind

      Cons

      Payroll department is a joke. They do what they want and don’t care about us. A Lot of turn over. Asked for three good People there and they are gone
