      Good ole boys mentality, operational mindset, disorganized, and not commercial. Watco is very disconnected unless you are at HQ. Also, forget about caring management or any attempt to know their employers on any other level than business. It is very, very fake, and I am sad for the others left in the trenches who continue to turn a blind eye or feed the beast. Do better, Watco executives, and get to know your frontline and the damage your management is doing.

      For the most part your left alone to get the job done.

      Cons

      Yes you're left alone to get the job done, but you're given no formal training, and really no direction, so you have to learn everything on your own. I thought at first not having someone constantly hovering over me was a good thing, but then I found out that my direct boss would just show up unannounced once every few months. It was almost like he was looking to find something going wrong. After multiple years I just kept catching him in lie after lie after lie, he couldn't be trusted, he'd just tell you what you'd want to hear to keep you slaving away for him while he raked in a high salary and perks.

      Pros

      The actual physical task of the job is not bad.

      Cons

      Lack of communication from management, petty workplace politics, mandatory overtime and long hours lead to burnout very quickly, especially because they are always short-handed.
