Pros

Making the world pretty hot tubs just isn’t worth your dignity and your soul. You'll be sucked into a vortex of vindictive ineptness. But if that's your jam....that's a pro.

Cons

The culture is bizarrely oppressive, with the executive team largely made up of WASPs and one female whose claim to fame is targeting employees she doesn't like, derailing careers and driving out those who want to innovate or challenge 'how we do things'. Very few on the executive team have worked outside of Watkins and as a result have almost no perspective. They’ve gotten away with atrocious, discriminatory, retaliatory behavior for decades. Any ethical complaints against the executive team or culture, while ‘investigated’, are swept under the rug, with the remaining employees suffering the wrath of those who spoke up against the discriminatory behaviors of the leadership team in the first place. This place is a mess.

Pros

- Good work/life balance - People are genuinely nice to each other - Fairly extensive training offerings - Good bonus plan - Strong company performance

Cons

- Very limited opportunities for advancement - Slow to progress/stuck in old ways (lots of things are very manual/done on paper, resistance to/unsure how to automate things, technical skills vary greatly but are generally pretty low) - Not terribly competitive base salary - Very few opportunities to socialize with coworkers outside of your department
