The facility is getting cleaned up nicely and the line staff genuinely enjoy working together for the most part

Why can't Watlow believe that money drives people. They truly believe that people dont want better jobs or promotions for the reason of better pay. Its even frowned on when brought up. Promotions to them mean the privilage to engage in more complex issues. I really mean that. They feel that people want promotions for the challange or to be more engaged. This was even the message to lower supervisors and team leads when they would yrain them. The Richmond facility is the worst at this. They will push back on people for this all the time. Except if your good friends with 1 of 3 people. Then you will get at least something in a pay bump and maybe even more. The Watlow, Lean culture revolves around 3 facilty managers. If the head operations guy wants something, he'll magically have all sorts of non published data out of all the data we have that shows he's right. He never uses the data everyone can look to. Its always his magical source he finds but cant describe where he gets it or why it doesnt match other data we can see. As long as his plan or idea....usually he doesnt do that anymore either. He's resorted to using general statements like: its a corporate strategy or plan. No other facility can validate that either when we visit them.
