Pros

Constant search for improvement and new solutions. Good communication between management and devs Benefits are not bad, although 401K match is very poor

Cons

Company culture does not exactly match what most of software developers would expect Workplace is small and tight, for a billionaire company shouldn't be hard to find a place with more perks

Pros

I've been at Watsco for 5 years and have seen it grow and change. We are constantly looking how to improve our services to our customers and how to improve internally on delivering those, and the company has been heavily investing in technology and resources. It's a relatively flat organization with very little bureaucracy, so making project decisions is quick and easy. The team is fun to work with and we get on very well both professionally and socially. It's fast paced and challenging, but you also have a lot of freedom.

Cons

Although they are somewhat flexible with vacation time, would like to see a more official policy where you are rewarded with more days off the longer you've worked there.

Pros

The company is great at recognizing people for their hard work, and show appreciation and thanks for the employees and their work. They have a solid 401k plan and have have a solid track record for helping to grow ones future retirement plan. They are an industry leader with technology and always pushing the competition to follow the Watsco lead.

Cons

While some companies offer extended vacation days after tiered levels of years, Watsco does not.
