Pros

-Free Coffee -If you love customer service, it's fun to interact with people all day -Discounts on food while working

Cons

-Most managers play favorites -It was pretty much impossible to get any benefits considering they had to cut everyone's hours so the store wouldn't go over payroll expenses -Many employees should not have been hired, or should have been fired a long time ago -Wawa for the most part will not terminate an employee- they will instead move them to another store. This helps no one. -Unless you would like to be a store manager, Wawa should not be your "career". If you hate working here, just quit.

Pros

Ok as a part time job.

Cons

Wawa offers benefits if you work 34.5 hours per week, but will make sure you are never scheduled enough hours to actually qualify for benefits. The only people at my store that get enough hours for benefits are friends of the managers. The company is geared towards teenagers, because the company wants to avoid paying benefits to adults. It sounds like a lot of reviews on here are writtenn by management, who are the only employees that can actually make a living. My advice to any adult would be to not work here for more than one year. Beyond that it is an ok part time job, but will never amount to much else. Promotions are elusive. I have a bachelor's degree but have seen GED's promoted to managerment. I have been here for two years, and am currently seeking another job, because Wawa is essentially not realistic in the long run. Might be ok for someone who is married and not a primary breadwinner, or as a part time job, but will never amount to much else. In the end the only things that matter are being able to support yourself, or at least qualify for benefits, in my district that is not possible.

Pros

I stayed with this company for one reason: its community presence. After jumping from shift to shift every other day for months the customers begin to think you actually live there. I had no problem with this, as I found myself having a positive effect on these people's lives. It is a wonderful feeling when a customer goes out of their way to find you in the store just to say hello. You build relationships not only with your co-workers but also with the community. And prior to the company's movement toward gas stores, community involvement/customer service was its biggest selling point.

Cons

There are few reasons I will not work for this company again. But, some of the cons would be - Poor communication - Management teams vary immensely from store to store
