Customer Service Associate
Pros
There is always something to do if you look, there are plenty of things to learn and they are remotely easy to learn and apply. Most of the associates and customers are friendly, Always interacting with people. Your not just stuck at the register doing nothing. Management is pretty tolerable you have nice managers who you respect and then you have other managers who always talk about their employees and or always come in with an attitude/unhappy face. So much room and opportunity to improve and grow with the company if that's what you want. Great benefits for people who work full time. Flexible schedule( however you have to be a little persistent about what days you can and cannot work if you work part time) pretty cool part time job for college or high school students, its easy
Cons
sometimes associates endure treatment from customers that is absolutely horrible/harassment and then get in trouble when they have the nerve to walk away or defend themselves, someone needs to be on the side of the employee Seems to be no accountability for shifts not getting their work done. everyone complains about how no one does anything and yet they do all the work. First shift is the busiest yes, however there are a multitude of people there on that shift so there is no reason why things are constantly left unfinished or for another shift to do. Pretty much first shift can get away with not doing anything. There are seriously not enough people for third shift. Too many double standards when it comes to stuff not being done on different shifts. There are not enough blenders during the smoothie promotions it can get frustrating! Basically the only annoying cons i've experiences with this job have to do with the people i've interacted with which is subjective of course and depends on where you work. Also I do not like working in the deli because of my anxiety but its not that bad managers don't respond well to call outs understandable, but they also don't try to find coverage so... For people who work part time and are in school sometimes you have to keep reminding management that you do have a life outside of wawa
