Pros

- Employee Stock Ownership - Good benefits - 401k Employer Match - Great values - Competent upper-management - Challenging work - Corporate actively listens to feedback from store operations and uses that to improve processes - Change is constant, but change is good!

Cons

- Pipeline can be clogged/slow-moving depending on your position and area - Some stores can be very stressful to work in, especially urban ones - Staffing is very tight and call-outs can be frequent, which also creates stressful situations for the entire store - Customers in general are great, but there's always a few that will test your sanity!

Pros

Free coffee and drinks out of the soda machine. Discounted Food. Half an hour break* (see cons). Corporate isn't too bad. Nice apparel for the employees sometimes. (In fall we got Wawa hoodies and special promo shirts). Learning new things everyday. (Most) Friendly co workers and management if you're lucky.

Cons

(Going back to the break times), yes, a half an hour break but during that break you can get called back out onto the floor if it's too busy. There is ALOT to learn, I mean ALOT. It's not an easy job. There's usually 2-3 people in Deli and one person in beverage. That's the thing, beverage people don't get any help, so you're on your own. There's many tasks along with making coffee, drinks, and snacks constantly. At least in the store I was in, snacks had to be made every hour, and having customers let you know some coffee is out or the drink station beeping every thirty seconds can drive you insane and overwhelm you quickly. It's overwhelming and many times I cried in the freezer. If you want to work at Wawa you have to learn to multitask and be FAST.
