Pros

The people. Some customers come in 2 or 3 times a day 7 days a week. You really build some great connections, especially as a young college kid like I was when I worked there.

Cons

One lazy employee can really ruin the entire shift, and trust me there are a lot of them. Two types of people work at Wawa: those who love it and those there for the check. If you fall into the first, you will be fine. The second, not so much.

Pros

The benefits, the people are helpful when you are training, the higher management (including corporate) are willing to listen to any and all suggestions.

Cons

High turnover rate can cause an issue in staffing, most stores are already short staffed so finding coverage is difficult.

Pros

Pros: Decent starting pay (better than fast food/restaurant wages) , employee discounts, opportunities for advancement

Cons

Cons: Hostile Coworkers, vile customers, irregular hours, lack of hours during winter, can be difficult multi-tasking in hectic environment, managers are very hit-or-miss. Also the college graduate leadership program is only available to those who are fresh out of college (maybe a month or so, if that?)
