Pros

Free meal during a paid break

Cons

The environment was toxic. There are many levels, I.e., customer service associate, team lead, supervisor, and manager it gets confusing because everyone is a know it all and will micromanage you. The employees get visibly mad if you aren't as fast as them. There's some unwritten rule that you must make the food within 1 minute as if it's Mcdonalds'. I was not too fond of how employees would speak to others - barking orders at you. Supervisors could be as young as 19. The environment was unprofessional, to say the least, and a bad fit for me. Expect lots of gossip between first, second, and third-shift employees. Each shift thinks they work harder. Lots of drama and gossiping happens. I only lasted a few months. Physically it's taxing on your body as there is a lot of bending and getting heavy items off shelves. I do not smoke, and most employees do. I didn't like being exposed to secondhand smoke.

Pros

Stock, 401k, benefits. The associates are generally pretty nice.

Cons

Everything else. Favoritism, passive aggression, lack of accountability and other negative traits amongst upper management. At the tinton falls location I had my job threatened because a manager changed my hours without notifying me on a schedule that had already been posted (the general manager, now an area manager). Expected me to work 8 hours then come back 8 hours later for another 8 hour shift often. Regularly worked doubles and ridiculous amount of overtime. As a manager you are expected to work holidays but do not get holiday pay except for Christmas Day. Do not try to call out if you don’t feel safe driving in a blizzard, no one will care and they’ll make you feel bad. Not a bad job if you just want to be an associate. If you act like you care you will be rewarded with doing other peoples jobs without additional compensation.
