Pros

Working from home excellent peer support!

Cons

- Recently compensation has been changed where top performers are being punished and not rewarded for their hard work. - Due to mass hiring, our L2s (managers), are seriously over worked and they have little time to provide support and coaching opportunities. - Corporate has recently changed our emergency time of balance making it harder and harder to have an appropriate work/life balance and to better prepare for emergencies. - Wayfair is becoming more and more like every other crappy contact center job by the day.

Pros

Stock is doing great Company is growing and making money The business model is smart and successful You get to meet/work with many very smart people with great ideas and some outright geniuses Niraj is a great businessman with great instincts, Steve is a decent human being

Cons

Politics are rampant The transparency is fake The culture is toxic People and their actions are driven by fear, most are scared, not inspired Favoritism is the way to get ahead, leaders hire yes-men, criticism is seen as weakness and trust is absent Honesty is bad for you, share something in confidence with your boss (or HR), it can and will be used against you The company does not care about its people, they say they do, but teams and individuals are being treated deliberately unfairly (comp, time, WFH, benefits) People focus more on managing the story and deflecting accountability rather than doing the work Senior management are either legacy with no idea what good looks like, or consultants with plenty of ideas but no real experience or people management skills You can't really trust anyone because everyone is ready to stab you in the back when needed, including your boss and your team (seems like this behavior is mutually encouraged, sharpen your own knife and join in on the fun) Successful people are ruthless and selfish, willing to do things that are wrong for the team and the company for personal benefit HR's main role is screwing employees over without getting sued, their main currency is rumor and gossip The review process is a joke, a travesty, a theater orchestrated to lend credibility to arbitrary decisions Most people stick around for the money to finish their 4 year vest, most are mercenaries, few are inspired, the talent door is constantly revolving

Pros

The only two good things is you get to work from home and you get a decent discount - 7% above cost

Cons

To start - the other negative reviews are the true ones - don't bother being positive. Training was AWFUL - they go over mindless policies and games for a week and then put you on phones with customers with little support. Once on team, management barely knew what they were talking about, they only referred you to pre-written articles on how to solve a problem. The blind leading the blind. Had a few issues with attendance because the training did not properly go over how to request time off and how many hours can be used and when to use them. I was told by management "It sucks to lose a great employee over attendance" but the lack of information came from THEIR end - be prepared to be penalized for their inconsistencies and to be set up for failure.
