Good company, but undervalues employees

Pros

- lots of young people - good for building experience and marketing - innovative technology - the two founders are both very nice - pretty office, free snacks and beer - good health benefits

Cons

- an open plan office isn't always a good thing; you have no privacy at all - depending on the manager, you could be treated like a worker drone instead of a human - stiff corporate language that discourages alternate opinions - some departments are underpaid per the national average

Pros

- Stock Options - Office In Copley square

Cons

Engineers get abused heavily. (Expectations are very high & rewards are almost none) Lack of testing during deploys make the deploy a very dangerous task. Work from home is considered as evil. (You need more to trust more with your employees). No emphasis on trainings or conferences. There is NO TEAM work. Firings are common.

Pros

Free snacks Some of the employees

Cons

Poor management from frontline up to senior. They all only care about their own advancement and will not fight for you when you need help, which is often. Awful attendance policy and scheduling system. You can be hit with a negative point for being late even when there are system issues of their fault, which is often. You can get refused parts of your vacation days off which is totally unbelievable, forcing you to fight to correct it, find someone to cover your shift, or call in and get dinged negative attendance point. Lack of promotion opportunity - as they play favorites and respond positively to brown nosers. Totally brutal metrics where they expect you to do more and more yet pay no more money. Management that tattle tales to other managers when issues are brought up by reps to management. Poor website, poor freight network, poor support from other departments making the job that much harder and stressful.
