Poor Pay, No Room for Real Growth

Pros

Most of the people are great: smart, innovative. It's a fast paced environment you'll be sure to work hard and be exposed to multiple business units. Overall, the energy is good.

Cons

Very young culture. They are smart, but young and inexperienced. Book smarts, not street. It can create a barrier if you're not newly graduated and like to drink beer and play ping pong during your breaks. The pay is embarrassingly low per the job. Do a quick google search and you'll find that Wayfair easily pays 30% below the average salary. This is probably why the employees are so young. They are distracted with free beer, parties, fancy job titles, and free snacks. That would all be GREAT, if the pay matched the job efforts.

Pros

There are a lot of good people there, very relaxed atmosphere, 3rd shift, benefits are pretty decent for a warehouse job. The monthly give aways are very nice as well, very good incentive.

Cons

There is a lot of heavy lifting in this position. Almost everything that has to be pulled from the racks says team lift and you're stuck on a lift doing it by yourself. They expect people to stay working there for 14.00 dollars an hour for bulk drivers and 11.00 for shipping personal. There is a very high turn over rate and that I do believe is the biggest reason for this. Pay people more for all the heavy lifting work they have to do and maybe thus will cut down on some of the turn over in the warehouse. Think of the people that got you to your 2.25 billion+ in revenue last year and maybe just maybe you'll find out that people will actually stay long term with the company.

Supplier Operations

Pros

Great Benefits! Lots of play, left one wondering if line management took the work day seriously.

Cons

Poor start salary, subpar training, management support was minimal as training needs were obvious - solutions were to have rookies training rookies and one was in trouble when needing additional training. Training consisted of power point reviews, did not even include systems overviews and readily available supplier systems training (on-boarding systems review).
