Pros

Company moves at a very fast pace. Lots of emphasis on continuous improvement and performance. Appreciate the focus on data driven decision making and the openness to trying to new approaches. Company has a lot of potential for growth and at scale - something that's hard to find these days. Work-life balance is what you make it, but definitely feel the pressure to put in the hours and deliver. While comp is not a market leader for tech, industry or Boston - overall package (salary, bonus, stock, benefits) is very respectable.

Cons

Speed and growth of the company is so fast that some small things get dropped/overlooked. Very young company with many first time managers. Comp isn't market leading, but shouldn't expect that from a company that still is growing rapidly and maturing.

Pros

I have been training for a week. They gave us pizza after a create your own pizza shop exercise. There is a bunch to eat and the atmosphere seems relaxed enough. The job seems like it could be easy enough with the biggest challenge being never calling out. There seems to be a lot of money being made but I have to wonder if all that will last.

Cons

My trainer is very rude condescending and DOESN'T know the material. When we come across something in our New Foundations training manuals that she is unaware of she responds with "things are constantly changing people" in her best Opera voice. This happens daily. I find it strange that as a trainer she isn't aware of changes to the manuals that we all know weren't made that morning. She often seems like she is going through the motions like she is scripted. If I had not spoken to people who have already been through training me and other new hires would have left already. I am still unsure about this job since my trainer's mood swings and often abrasive attitude makes me wonder if the rest of management is the same since her job is to be my introduction to Wayfair.
