Pros

The first two years were great, last year the culture has slowly deteriorated. Engineers & product teams are very valued..other areas you’re just a conveyor belt. Was a constant moving target for promotion for me, regularly shifted teams right before reviews..then provided very generic review with minimal bump. You will do well here if you have a cut throat approach to your career, but if collaboration & team driven incentives are important to you..look elsewhere.

Cons

Constantly being compared to peers, at the end what finally lead me to look elsewhere was I was very micromanaged and constantly managed through fear of making a mistake. Talent acquisition is run by two leaders who have never worked in recruiting...which leads to poor decisions & lack of understanding on a strategic approach to recruiting. Recruiters are not taken seriously by business partners. If you question anything you get a target on your back.

Pros

Employees at the individual level seem to really care about their job and work very hard. Some cool perks like fresh fruit and snacks daily. Definitely opportunity to move into a role that is totally new since there is so much growth.

Cons

The company is literally out of space, we sit on top of eachother. Almost no processes in place in HR/TA and because of this there is tremendous waste on doing the same thing over and over because there are so many different systems. No flexibility to work from home or remote (unless you have have kids - then you can come and go as you please), but still wants to be considered a forward tech company? Benefits are mediocre at best, including needing to be employed for a year before being eligible to use maternity leave

Pros

You will learn a lot as there is a sword hanging over your head every time. Having said that, it creates an environment of continuous anxiety.

Cons

1. Hire and fire culture - More than 12 people from a batch of 30 people in Wayfair Labs were fired within 10 months. Those who survived looked stressed and feared for their jobs all the time. 2. Continuous evaluation/ micromanagement of work until they let you go. 3. Stressful, unfriendly environment, everyone looks stressed and employees always work overtime, no work life balance. 4. Low pay ~ 80k base salary - not enough to sustain in an expensive city like Boston, other companies pay much better. 5. No appreciation of work. 6. No work Visa sponsorship initially, they fire you before the Visa sponsorship time comes. 7. Managers do not have a personal relationship with employees, racist environment. DO NOT join
