We encourage you to reach out to your direct leader to help you adjust during this transition. Our performance-based bonus structure has stayed consistent in the past few years, however, if you have questions, please contact your Strategic Business Partner for support. Thank you for posting.

Pros

There is usually a good team dynamic. Good people happy to help others out and lift them up.

Cons

The leadership are talking about how the organization is going to accelerate. More, faster, better. Well, pay at Waystar hasn't kept pace with inflation and we are going to have to come back into the office because supposedly that is the only way we can all be creative innovators, irregardless if that is in your job description. That will be costing time, money, and freedom as far as I'm concerned. And I'm far from the only one. In fact, a whole lot of us made choices due to the remote option that are now going to mean back to office is way more expensive than it was when we were going in before. They are beginning to depart from their values. They say they want honesty and it used to that way but now they want yes men. The vibe has shifted to Boomer dad energy: they know better than we do what's best for us. We are all supposed to believe working remotely is bad for us. (Maybe it is for some but we can be trusted to judge for ourselves any more. It's not bad for me. I've never been better, in fact.) They seem to be repeating the same things different ways many times and in hope that we will start to believe their words instead of our own minds. It was the best place to work but right after we gave that honor to Waystar and they got the best place to work award, they started with all these terrible changes.

We agree that our people demonstrate teamwork and kindness consistently, no matter what role they may play. Thank you for your feedback. We know that adjusting to change can be difficult. It is our goal to provide a working environment that consistently exhibits our values and promotes a positive work culture for all team members. We believe we are better when we are together, and still support and encourage flexibility during our return to office. For additional support we encourage you to reach out to your People Leader, Strategic Business Partner or even VP to discuss your concerns.

Horrible Place to Work

Pros

Casual dress attire for most teams.

Cons

I have never felt more devalued as a human than I did at Waystar. The pay is well below the industry average for this area. You are constantly put under completely unrealistic expectations. I had to work 60 and 70 hour weeks for years due to the insane amount of work I was responsible for. Then each year at review time was told I did an average job. The leadership is completely out of touch with employees. We took an employee satisfaction survey and got a low score. Then the leadership basically acted like the survey never happened. I know zero people that still like working at Waystar. Everyone is actively seeking other employment. Don't waste your time here.

We aspire to provide a healthy work-life balance for our team members so they can best serve their families and our clients. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We firmly believe our leaders want to see both the team members and Waystar as a whole succeed, which is why we encourage openness and honesty in our performance management cycle. Team member satisfaction and engagement are extremely important to us and we have made great strides to elevate our achievements in both of these areas across the company.
