Lots of events and socialising (if you like that sort of thing), lots of opportunities to meet cool people who are doing exciting things, volunteering opportunities are brilliant (we volunteered with HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, lots of autonomy given IF you're under the right manager

many managers lacked experience and didn't know what they were doing, at times felt mismanaged,
