Pros

Free coffee, free wifi, nice bathrooms

Cons

I worked in headquarters on a team that was Very disorganized. After 3 months I still was not given a desk. Person who hired me was a liar and had now clue what they were doing, a middle manager from an old style of working. Surprising to be micromanaged at a "start up" like this who one of many motto's were "get &$#@ done". I was unable to get hardly anything done as I was slowed down by micromanagement and clueless people I was forced to work with, they were unable to do anything out of fear.

Pros

Great idea. Poor execution.

Cons

Shady management. Too "rah-rah" with little substance to back the CEO's promises. Treatment of external vendors worth review.

Pros

Really great colleagues. Private bathroom stalls. Making connections with members for future jobs.

Cons

12-16 hour days with no lunch break, no compensation. Working events 2-3 times a week just in order to be a body and a number on a spreadsheet. Was told by HQ (during a meeting that lasted until 10:30 pm) that the reason why Associate Community Managers don't receive overtime pay is because it's a "Senior Managerial Role", even though they have no managerial powers. Consistently watched fast overturn of employees in the city, firings at will for petty/no reasons. Promotions are based off of favoritism and popularity contests, rather than merit and tenure. Tenure is worthless, and no one in management knows what they're doing. Everyone is being yelled at from the person above them, and no one knows how to actually manage a group and keep the culture alive. No upward mobility on Community Team, and no respect for the work you put in. Say goodbye to work/life balance. There's a ceiling that you'll hit, and you will either be fired or will leave the company. So just don't bother at all.
