Good brand, sucks if you work in the trenches

Pros

WebMD is a good brand, and it helps to have them on your resume. It is also cool to see how healthcare tools are used by companies and consumers.

Cons

There are way too many employees with titles like "Strategic Account Director" and "Implementation Consultant" who do nothing useful, have no competence at using the tools they are supposed to help sell but get all the kudos and publicity. Those of us who actually produce deliverables are relegated to the corner. Basically we have too many people who are PowerPoint monkeys but add zero value. As for managers, they are so busy that they never get involved until something really goes wrong.

They are flexible with employees in terms of time and ability to work remotely. The teams are young with fresh ideas and good personalities.

Cons

Depending on which team you work on employees can be too hierarchical and it's too easy for people who don't much to get pay exorbitant salaries while other team members who do the bulk of the work or considerably underpaid.

Pros

Great leadership in the Atlanta office from local senior management. Really smart people who understand the market and care about their users. Very passionate about the brand and what it stands for. Several long-term employees and many years of combined experience.

Cons

Information exchange between the Atlanta and New York offices needs some improvement. Corporate office comes across as disjointed and disorganized with no clear singular voice or leadership. This can be a challenge for remote locations that must take direction from corporate and deliver against corporate set goals.
