Pros

Many good, dedicated folks who work there-branches and back office. Webster has great resources in training, support line to help customer-facing employees understand policies/procedures.

Cons

One the women in HR was not supportive and very judgmental when I had requested her advice on making a job change. She actually questioned why would I be so honest that I wanted to make a move and was completely rude and unprofessional to me. The individual who headed the branch network in MA/RI and part of CT was very condescending to his direct reports aa well as banking center managers. I believe this individual moved into another department within in the bank at this point. He micro-managed every decision within the banking centers which made managers feel like they couldn't do their job or make any decisions on their own.

Pros

The Internal Audit Department provides opportunities for auditors to branch out and work in other parts of the bank, work-life balance is great, and they allow for a compressed work week during the summer months.

Cons

There is a disconnect between the new hires and people that have been in the department for many many years, recently management has began to micromanage their staff not allowing for much breathing space. Its always like someone is watching you.
