Pros

Retail Banking looks good on a resume. I'm still not 100% sure, but it really does.

Cons

Lots of job openings, however it's really tough to advance because the company prefers to hire external candidates. Once you're in a position, you are pretty much stuck there. There are constant reminders of sales goals, even if you are a high performer. Nothing ever seem to be good enough. Managers always have "you can do better" mentality.

The pay was good, I liked working at the call center very much, most of the staff was friendly and knew how to encourage us, they had a great cafe and self help kitchen, toasters and microwaves... .

Cons

Asking for legitimate time off caused some tension, men and women were allowed 5 minutes to use the bathroom...

Pros

Overall good benefits, fair salary, friendly employees, good work/home flexibility within back office. Moving up within the company is not easy but if you are motivated the opportunities are there. The company does need work but overall a good growing company to work for.

Cons

Tough to work front line position. Have held many positions within this company and would not recommend any position within the Retail Banking line. Very sales driven (which makes sense) but too much pressure for minimal reward (salary, incentives, flexiblity).
