Pros

Management cares about employees and the communities they serve. Fast-paced environment with many opportunities for good performers to shine.

Cons

In some ways, the bank is still micro-managed from the top as if it were still a $500 million institution.

Pros

Great pay, OT available, fun atmosphere

Cons

Managers give preferential treatment to those who are most like themselves, hours, sales goal pressures, not much emphasis on employee engagement (anymore)

Pros

Bright talent exists in and out of the branches. Nice family business history. If you can take the gossip, crazy mergers, you will do fine.

Cons

Management has no confidence in people and doesn't grow anyone. Upper level management is into every detail and only cares about the stock price and the "spin" to reporters. Promotions based on politics and not skills. No growth inside. No upper level mentorship. Too much bureaucracy, slow decision making and little innovation.
