Pros

Here is a company that is willing to work with you as regards your schedule, training and equipment needs.

Cons

As with any employer, there are a few times that individually we don't see things the same way as the company. But they are minor, and we learn to grow from the experience.

A solid place to land

Pros

What initially drew me to Weidenhammer was their solid reputation as a technology leader with strong Microsoft partnerships. From day one, I was fully immersed, joining the internal AI testing team and experiencing Microsoft Copilot 365 integration firsthand. Together with Hammer, I've accelerated my AI knowledge more in the past year than in the previous two combined. The company doesn't just talk about professional development—they invest in it through paid training opportunities, subscription-based learning platforms, and mentorship programs that empower growth at any career stage. I'm particularly proud of working with key accounts this past year. With Hammer's strategic support ecosystem behind me, I've achieved results I didn't think possible. Despite being later in my career, I've found renewed professional excitement and valued opportunities to collaborate directly with leadership, including John Weidenhammer himself. For anyone considering Weidenhammer, especially those looking to advance in AI: this is where practical innovation meets supportive culture. When I needed a new role with specific e-commerce and optimization expertise, Hammer delivered—and it's been an exceptional experience ever since.

Cons

Don't have any cons to speak of at the current time.

Pros

In an unstable market with mass layoffs and gross mismanagement by execs, John Weidenhammer continues to lead the company he founded in 1978 with integrity, wisdom, and what some might say "old school" values and work ethic. Hammer's business-to-human approach is validated every day by unsolicited client thanks and testimonials, and proven by the unusually long tenure of both our clients and employees.

Cons

'Old school' can result in legacy paradigms, tools, and operations that are being addressed and improved on. Stability from being fiscally conservative means you will be fairly but never over paid as is the case with many tech companies throwing money at problems and then laying off its people when they persist. While a positive, the long tenure of employees can also lead to bias and 'always done that way' mindsets with limited external context of advances being made outside of the company. This requires change, and people are inherently change averse.
